Flying Dragon Wine Vase

This is a rare wine vase with a cap and painted in Blue with flying Dragon motifs.

Standing at approx 10 inches tall, this rare vase was believed to be manufactured during the Ching Dynasty to store wine.

  1. The handle on the cover looks odd.

  2. It is indeed an odd looking wine container. I had to search through many books and websites to conclude that it was used for storing wine as no one would store soya sauce in nice looking porcelain pieces like this. Everything was hand painted!!!

    1. I agree with you that this nice piece would not be used to store soy sauce in the kitchen.
